Cookies policy
Last updated: January 1, 2026
This Cookies Policy explains what cookies are, what types of cookies we use on GoMySalon and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet or mobile) when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences for a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter them every time you visit the site or navigate between pages.
2. Types of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
Essential for the Platform to function. Without them, you would not be able to navigate the site or use basic features such as login or booking management.
- User session: keeps you logged in while you browse the Platform. Expires when you close the browser or after the configured inactivity period.
- CSRF token: protects against cross-site request forgery attacks. Generated each session.
- Language preference: remembers your selected language (Spanish or English) to show the Platform in your preferred language.
- Theme preference: remembers whether you have selected light or dark mode.
Analytics cookies
Help us understand how users interact with the Platform, collecting information anonymously and in aggregate.
- Google Analytics: collects anonymous data about site use (pages visited, visit duration, traffic source). We use IP anonymization. These cookies expire within a maximum of 2 years.
Third-party cookies
Some third-party services integrated into the Platform may set their own cookies:
- Stripe: uses cookies for secure payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Google reCAPTCHA: uses cookies to distinguish real users from bots in contact forms.
3. Cookie duration
Based on their duration, cookies are classified as:
- Session cookies: automatically deleted when you close the browser.
- Persistent cookies: remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them manually. Our persistent cookies have a maximum duration of 2 years.
4. How to manage cookies
You can configure your browser to accept, refuse or delete cookies. Note that disabling necessary cookies may affect how the Platform works. Below is how to manage cookies in common browsers:
- Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Cookies and data stored.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Legal basis
In accordance with Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Strictly necessary cookies are installed without consent as they are essential for the service to function.
- Analytics and third-party cookies require your prior consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time.
6. Changes
We may update this Cookies Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal reasons. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
